Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans are no-need loans for Graduate students. Under this program, students can borrow up to the total cost of education minus their expected financial aid. Repayment begins 60 days after disbursement. GRADPLUS Applications can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office. Students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be considered for the Federal Direct Stafford Program before the PLUS application will be processed.
In order to process the application, the student completing the application must also complete a new Master Promissory Note. Select "Complete New MPN for Student Loans" and then select "Graduate PLUS."
Once the application and promissory note have been completed, the Financial Aid Office will request a credit check from the U.S. Department of Education. If the credit check is approved, the loan will be applied to the student's account.
