Office of Financial Aid

How do I Find Out How Much I'll Get?

After your financial aid file is completed, your aid eligibility is calculated and awards are made. An Award Notice is then generated. It tells you the type of aid you can receive, and the amount per semester.

You will receive a letter when your initial awards are made telling you to check the iCampus portal. If any changes are made to your initial awards, we will send an e-mail to your Illinois State e-mail address telling you to check iCampus. You may print a paper copy from the portal.

If you are a first-time borrower, Entrance Loan Counseling (EC) and an Electronic Master Promissory Note (MPN) are required. Loan funds cannot be disbursed until you have done both the EC and MPN.

The residency, dependency, housing status, and the class level that is in the University database appear on the Award Notice. Should your awards or status change, or you receive additional awards, we will send you an e-mail to check your revised Award Notice on iCampus. Award Notices should be generated by early May for students whose files are complete.
